There's a good discussion over on FatWallet discussing what the best credit cards are right now. There are many links to different cards and descriptions of the different rewards many banks are offering.

WorldPerks Visa Signature is what I've been rocking lately. Free ticket just for signing up, and no annual fee for the first year. Their concierge service is pretty cool, too.

I prefer AMEX over anything. Depending on how much you spend, cetain cards may be more rewarding.

My primary is my AMEX Blue Cash. This is an AMEX credit card, not a normal charge card. If you spend more than $6,500 a year, you get 1.5 - 5% back on all purchases.

I personally think this is a great card for business owners. I charge everything to it and get a nice reward at the end of the year.

If you are looking for a card to earn miles, consider the amount of money you must spend to earn the plane ticket. Then take at least 1.5% of that amount. I think you will find out, that the 1.5% is a few times more than the cost ticket.
